D13EGO is an Italian born painter based in London.
His most recent work is influenced by his background in Economics and 15-year career on the trading floor of a leading investment bank.

In his canvas, he celebrates the unavoidable emotions people have towards money, the abundance or lack thereof. D13EGO’s intricate multi-layered images and techniques simultaneously reflect and elaborate the complex and yet simple nature of the financial.

His artistic process involves spray paint and painstakingly hand cut stencils that are voluntarily destroyed after just one use. His work is exhibited privately in his Studio/Gallery in Islington, London.

Bio
Born in Milan in 1974, D13EGO displayed a natural talent for drawing before he could walk. His artistic career began as portrait artist at the tender age of 12 and quickly broadened to comic book illustration for a local magazine. By the early 90’s his arsenal had expanded to spray paint while the graffiti culture started to develop in Italy.

Forced to abandon the artistic path to study Economics and Math at the University of Milan, D13EGO left Italy in 1998 to join a leading investment bank as a financial trader where he worked until 2013 when he finally decided to follow his dream to become a professional artist.
