Since her first class in 2018, Marta has developed a passion for painting. Although she has worked with gouache on paper, she primarily paints with acrylics on canvas. She loves to use bold colors and paints with different mediums and tools to express her emotions……always with music playing in the background.

Artist Statement
After spending over three decades building and transforming businesses, in 2018 I embarked on my own transformation. An art lesson inspired and developed my passion for painting. Using bold colors, with acrylic as my principal medium, I explore a variety of patterns and structures, seeking to uncover new and unexpected effects. My canvasses intentionally present a wide range of moods for the viewer to reflect upon along with me on my new journey. My paintings Maky, bring particular attention to my love of the color red. By contrast, Hooska, the first of my series Fantasy Fauna of Ukraine, reflects my deep connection to my Ukrainian culture and roots. Hooska means goose in Ukrainian. A popular topic amongst children stories, the subject reflects the joyful playfulness of life symbolic throughout nature and our youth.
